Method for automated processing of VST laser scanning
Within automated system of technological equipment maintenance and repair (TEMR) the role of geodetic methods for determination of parameters and deformations is increasing. The TEMR implementation results in inter-overhaul increase, higher reliability and mechanical integrity of equipment in condition of continuous technological process, production safety, planned and unplanned downtime reduction, downgraded and emergency situation risks decrease, lower maintenance and repair expenses, higher productivity and overall effectiveness of equipment.
The most effective geodetic method is ground-based laser scanning (GBLS). In TEMR subsystem laser scanning data processing should be highly automated, and the analysis result should be the recommendations for maintenance and repair of equipment, which are based not on subjective information of data comparison with regulatory tolerances but on digital information about deformations and strains which VST shell suffers. Thus geodetic subsystem proposes the following method and algorithm for LRP cloud data processing for determining deformations and strains of tank walls.
The proposed method allows to get automatically on GBLS data all necessary data for state estimation of tank under exploitation, notably it is performed not on generalized regulatory data but on calculated equivalent strains which occur in tank deformations.
