
GEODETIC ON-LINE MEASUREMENT COMPLEX «VIZIR 3D»

Program complex «Vizir 3D» is developed from program complex “Equalization of mining and geodetic networks and survey processing” («MG Networks»), and intended for creation of high-accuracy geodetic networks, modeling and aligning geometric parameters of technological equipment and its installation in design position. The specific feature of this complex is the opportunity to work in on-line mode together with high-accuracy total stations. The complex is able to perform precalculation of accuracy and equalization of horizontal and vertical, and also mixed networks of random configuration and processing of total station surveying.
The complex makes possible to perform multiple measurements in Circle Left and Circle Right, to provide statistical processing of measurement in on-line mode and to exclude faulty measurements from processing. The use of on-line measurement mode makes possible to receive measurement results very quickly, right after the measurements were performed, and to make correction of position or form of the object.

Program complex “Vizir 3D” has module structure and can be a client or a server for different devices. The upper part of the figure shows hardware elements of the complex. Basically the complex works with one total station, the interface is provided by Bluetooth technology. The management program and the total station exchange commands, data and messages. To increase measurement accuracy, in cases when it is impossible to achieve it by multiple measurements, there is an opportunity to work with two total stations (2) in synchronous and asynchronous mode operation. To make photo contours of measured points complex “Vizir 3D” can cooperate with a camera (3). Besides, camera is used in visual observation of kilns and dryers to find out the contact of rollers and bands, to determine beating and gear clearance etc.
Total control of on-line measurements
The measuring complex “Vizir 3D” can be operated remotely by external devices (mobile phone, (4) or controller, laptop or tablet (5)). The control is based on the technology «human device interface».
The software of the complex “VIzir 3D” consists of 3 levels: the lowest one (10) provides performing and processing of geodetic on-line measurements and their equalization. This level provides creation of geodetic control networks for the objects and, in case of the right choice of reference system, can provide measuring of many objects. The second program level is based on the data of the first one and allows to calculate straightness of objects, parallel alignment of lines and sections, flatness and perpendicularity of lines and surfaces, calculation of radiuses and cylinder parameters. In most cases these functions are enough for measuring machine-building objects and technological equipment in industry. For complex machines, for which models and complex calculations are required, special modules are designed which include characteristic points measurement function, object modeling and working out correction measures. Such modules are created for measurement and correction of CCM position (6), testing of condition and correction of rotation kilns (7) and dryers (8).

High-accuracy measurements and equipment mounting
For building main cable-belt conveyer (CBC), which was designed by the firm METSO Minerals, it was required to create high-accuracy geodetic network with relative error 1 : 860 000, which was reached thanks to using measurement complex “Vizir 3D” and its options for modeling geodetic networks and precalculation of their accuracy.
